Welcome!

Rangelands occupy 47 percent of the earth's total land area; they are a productive and important resource.  In Oklahoma alone there are 23 million acres of rangeland encompassing 50 percent of the state's land area.  These rangelands, and the renewable resources they support, are highly important to us.

The Society for Range Management is a professional organization composed of individuals with a common interest in the study, management and rational use of rangelands and related ecosystems.  Members include ranchers, wildlife managers, conservationists, scientists, students, and others interested in rangelands.

Oklahoma is hosting the 2013 Society for Range Management annual meeting in Oklahoma City. For more information about the meeting visit the "Upcoming Events" page."
